Glonatech SA’s current nanotech solutions are the following:
- Aviation – aircraft – aerospace coatings
- Nanocomposites and
- Marine – maritime coatings – paints
Watch our Glonatech 2014 company video presentation:
Since nanostructured carbon exhibits the highest strength to weight ratio of any known material, it can be combined with other materials (polymers, metals ceramics) into composites that can be used to build lightweight railway structures, aircraft wings, car fenders and more.
Other fields in which nanostructured carbon can be employed are the following:
- Conductive adhesives
- Materials and uniforms for fire protection
- Water filtration systems
- Solar cells
- Waterproof tear-resistant and flame retardant textiles
- Displays and field effect transistors
- Electrically conductive films and antistatic films
- Electronic packaging
- Fuel cell electrodes
- Concrete/cement
- Sports equipment and materials
- Plastics and masterbatches processing
Our aim in Glonatech is the development of techniques for materials synthesis that (a) are cost effective, (b) ensure homogeneous dispersion of nanotubes in the bulk matrix, and (c) can be implemented for industrial production.
